Ron McCamish is a Principal and one of the founders of
FourthFrame Technologies LLC. With over 20 years of
professional IT experience, Ron has a wide range of project
experience with a strong concentration in Java, J2EE,
Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, and Oracle development and
architecture. In his Principal role at FourthFrame, Ron has
consulted with a number of clients, including a major financial
institute where he developed a J2EE/Oracle solution used by over
30,000 users and a software startup where he and his FourthFrame
partners brought a voice-activated medical records application
to market.Prior to FourthFrame, Ron was a
Senior Software Engineer for LION bioscience, a global solutions
provider for the life science industry, specializing in
delivering enterprise-wide software solutions to improve the
drug discovery process. Ron integrated LION’s core J2EE and Web
Services platform with the DiscoveryCenter product line from
NetGenics, Inc, which was acquired by LION. He successfully
worked across development sites in Germany, England, and the
U.S. to develop the LION unified Service Oriented Architecture.
In the late 1990’s, Ron joined NetGenics as
a Senior Software Engineer. NetGenics focused on bioinformatics
solutions for drug discovery. He utilized his knowledge of
developing software frameworks and Oracle databases to develop
DiscoveryCenter, an n-tier life science integration platform.
Ron architected an Oracle genomic sequence datamart and
integrated this datamart with NetGenics’ J2EE service oriented
platform. He also found time to step into a management role at
NetGenics to lead the team loading the datamart.
Ron began his career in software
development at Chemical Abstracts Services in Columbus. With 13
years at CAS, he developed a solid, core basis in software
development principles and practices and excelled in developing
object-oriented software frameworks in C and C++. He spent a
major part of his career at CAS architecting large Oracle
databases for major projects in the chemical information space.
Ron’s major interests include Java, J2EE,
Web Services, and their complex relationships with Oracle
databases. He regularly attends Java and Oracle technology
conferences and the Central Ohio Java User’s Group and the Ohio
Oracle User’s Group.
Ron graduated in 1986 from Western Kentucky
University with a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in both
Computer Science and Mathematics. |
